It doesn't bother me that at the
moment this country has a "buffoon" for a
President, or that his administration is a scary group of murdering
cowboys
playing video war games on their conference phones. It doesn't bother
me
that we as a country are making the biggest mistake we have made in
the
history of our great democracy. It doesn't bother me that we are
currently
using our own, (US made) Weapons of Mass Destruction to quote -
unquote
"Liberate" the Iraqi people. It doesn't bother me that we are playing
the
role of "Bully" as we self-righteously cleanse the world of people
that may
potentially be a threat to us in the future. It doesn't bother me that
we
attacking a virtually defenseless country to set an example for any
other
regime who may step out of line and not comply with our belief system.
And
it doesn't even bother me that we are acting uni-laterally while we
claim to
be acting as part of this great "Peace Coalition" (a group of small
third
world countries that the US has bought off).
No, none of this really bothers me, but I'll tell you what does bother
me...
...that the majority of this country thinks we're "justified" in doing
so.
I am deeply saddened that a large portion of our population is
watching CNN
like they would watch a Football Game. I am not this war! I am
treating,
praying and meditating very hard right now. To remind people that
"peace"
is not just a cute little catch phrase, or an idealistic dream. No,
"peace"
is a gift that is shared with one person at a time.
We must not get angry. We must act decisively in order to correct the
mistakes of this administration. Our president is a war criminal! He
has
scared this country into a defensive standstill. Our once proud and
prosperous country is now only scared and paranoid. Traveling to other
parts of the world has been severely damaged for years to come by Bush
and
his Father's buddies. This is going to take a lot of time to correct,
even
long after this administration. We have a lot of healing to do! The
Karma
that is involved with this pre-emptive strike will damage the very
soul of
our country.
God, we have a lot of healing to do. First things first, get rid of
the
Bush regime quickly and decisively.
Our President is the true "weapon of mass destruction".
Please try and find peace within yourself and then share it with the
next
person you see.
