Welcome to a special section of Movement Magazine
's editorials. On the one week anniversarry of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon we are all still trying to come to grips with what has happened. In this section we have opened the forum for our correspondants and readers to voice their opinions, greif, and ideas of where to go from here. Thank you all for your support, may we all work together for a brighter future.

A Conversation/Interview
with Germany Correspondant Angi Lukas and Max Michaels:

Angi: Who do you think was the leader of this extreme terrorist-attack? Do you think it was this Taliban and their beliefs or orders from Bin Laden?

Max: "It is the invisible head of ignorance that we fight in the minds of men to put aside their differences and come to a reasonable conclusion together instead of leaping to war and inevitably bathing this planet in the proverbal fires. Our enemy is in all of us. But how do you reason with a zealot? How do you combat a blind rage? It is like going to war with a volcano or a typhoon. How do you embattle something that is near impossible to trace?

That is our enemy. Not one man in a cave in an impoverished country.

But in a 'war on terrorist' will we let our paranoia of our fellow man being a potential terrorist engulf us into the exact horror those planes were really aimed at causing. In such a war everyone is suspect."

But if nobody says that he is responsible is it possible that there will be further attacks? They could go on planning some more devastation's, maybe all over the world.

"It is not only possible that they would do that, it is certain. The dilemma has many heads. Cut off one and ten will arise to strike. This is a more perplexing issue that anyone can imagine. It is the greatest threat with the most difficult resolution."

In the news they talk about a crusade or a military campaign, they said it could last for one year or longer. It is a "new kind of war" but what if it is only a mind-boggling naive human being with a lot of money and a lot of connections responsible for this?

"It a paradox. If we do nothing we lose, if we move ahead to war we lose. This is not the actions of one man. This is the actions of militantly spiritual people who believe in their cause so deeply that they will sacrifice their own lives to strike at our heart. We feel compelled, better still need a target to focus our anger, rage and hate on. Only we are not looking inward to find resolution, we have to find what it is in the world that caused these people to become terrorists. They were born human just like all of us. A fresh slate. We have to find the cause of their distress and distrust and deal with that directly to really understand why they would lash out with such a devastating hand."

I think one reason is that they are envious on your land! Or these are people who avenge themselves for a certain reason. What about the Gulf War? They could have a reason stemming from that and he (Saddam Hussein) has had enough time to plan such an attack.

"This is true. The Gulf War is a factor that has lead up to this. But the he did not have a problem taking arms from us to defend Afghanistan against the Soviet Union. What makes him hate us so much now, or did he always? But taking just him is not enough. His network is allegedly vast. It would be a long tragic and fruitless war is it is to begin.
Were just envy the issue I do not believe it would have reached this scale. Envy is prevalent in every man. Our own citizens have been guilty of gunning one another down over tennis shoes. Businesses overtake other businesses they see as an asset or see as a threat and overthrow their leaders on a daily basis. But since no one is physically hurt it's considered fair business. Through out time envy has perpetuated mass violence though. So be it a fraction of the over all reason it does not make the big picture any clearer."

I'd like to personally thank you for visiting the Movement site in such a devastating time. Though we do cover a broad range of entertainment Movement is at it's core a vehicle for our readers as well as our staff to openly debate issues. I invite you to post your thoughts below about the tragedy and the vast issues it has stirred up.

I would also like to thank Angi from Germany who asking me the questions. It is heartwarming to see and hear of such an overabundant outpouring of emotion and support from our European brothers and sisters. Your grief for our loss is profound. My thanks to you and yours is boundless.
