We arrived in Clearwater, Florida at 1:30 to meet Tori
Amos. I had tried to meet her on several occasions before, but had
always just missed her. This time I was determined to meet her. She
finally came out at 4:30 after three hours of waiting. As soon as I saw
her coming through the doors I immediately started crying. She was
incredibly nice to all of her fans, and took time to talk to as many
people as she could. I'm very glad to have finally met her, and
hopefully next time I'll be in a calmer state to talk to her.
Another thing that makes this experience unique was that
Tori played completely solo, which is a first time for me, and the first
time for her since the 'Under The Pink' tour. She opened the show with
her frightening version of Eminem's '97 Bonnie and Clyde'. Throughout
the night she enthralled us with classics such as 'Crucify','Past The
Mission', 'Horses', and 'Northern Lad' along with songs from the newer
collection. She wrapped up with a double encore, and a standing ovation.
At the end of the night we walked away in a complete state of bliss of
another kind.
