The Zombie-Human war was brutal, neither side prevailing, but humanity had found new ground with the Protector weapon at their disposal and when they believed the Beast defeated they began to rebuild the world.  Until the day it returned.  The Beast ripped through a tear in time created for it by the first Zombie, Elvoor, and crawled back into our world.  It was weak and frail, but immediately began to feed off the souls of the world and the power of the prize soul of Innocence that it had taken in the past. Elvoor, its trusted general, was long believed to have perished in the attack the sent the Beast back in time, but the Beast knew that he was in the past with it and had sent it back to conquer the Earth. It sent out its demons to search for for the missing Zombie leader.

Since then resurrected God the zombies and its armies decimated the Earth.  On the outskirts of the turmoil, on the edge of insanity, lay the lingering remnants of humanity driven into scattering numbers by the Zombie threat.  Starving and broken, salvation seemed like a distant dream.  Lore has begun to spread of a savior that will one day come and retake the planet from the grasp of the Zombie armies.  A powerful messiah to save them all.

Today that prophecy begins to come true.  From the ridge of a darkened mountain range a man stepped down into the chaos of the world.  It was Elvoor the original zombie, missing since he had sent the Beast back into the future from Earths past..

For Elvoor did not die, he was flung into the past with the Beast.  After sending the Beast back into the future he was unable to do the same for himself and was trapped in that point on the time line.  So he did the only thing a zombie could do, he waited out time.  He hid in the shadows and furthered his studies on the ancient and forbidden dark arts. He sat on the sidelines of history once again, waiting and watching for just the right time to once again return to the theatre of this unholy war.  He even watched himself as he gave mankind the means to create the Zombie threat, his very blood.  Hw watched as the first Zombie was created, and when he rose up and unleash the Beast and begin the war. He even watched from a distance as the human weapon detonated on the Beast and pulled them both into the past.  Then he waited in the shadows until he was sure the Beast had returned. Once he was sure of that he went into deep hiding.

He spent his time in deep seclusion once more studying ancient and otherworldly methods of conjuring the power he needed. This intense study and training took a toll on his already unusually weakened undead body.  Aged and hardened, he has now risen to confront the Beast and bring his plan full circle.  His staff crowned with the skull of the Innocence, a soul that gave the beast strength enough to return to this point in the time line and ravage it.  The frail ornament atop his cane was now the purest, most holy thing on earth.

By his hand, by the very scars of his every sin, came the power, the power to change everything.

He set his staff in front of him and began his ritual.  He called forth the power of the Innocence

that lay dormant, deep within the belly of the Beast.

Elvoor called the energies of Innocence back.  To fulfill his destiny.

At that moment the Beast's gut bust forth with energy.

Elvoor held up the holy icon high.

The energy ripped from the Beast struck at the base of the skull and sent it reeling from the staff.

It lay smoldering in the dust as Elvoor looked on...

Meanwhile, physically devastated by the energies of innocence being taken from it

the Beast was doing all it could to maintain its form.

It could smell the soul of Innocence and the scent was getting stronger.

Before it could confront Innocence it would have to protect his new born offspring.

The Beast opened a hole in dimensional space and hid his child in it.

Just then the Beast was struck by wave of energies,

gripping its entire being in pain.

Its control was lost, for just that moment. It regained its composure and

searched out the energy of Innocence to regain what was stolen from it.

The Beast confronted Elvoor at the site of the rejoining, as the skull of innocence sits smoldering,

the Beast approaches.  "This is your doing Elvoor?" squealed the weakened Beast.

"Why have you betrayed the darkness you gave birth to?"

said the Beast as it curled to attack.

The Beast lunged at Elvoor.

Just as it attacked, Elvoor ducked and braced his staff against the ground

and impaled it into the black heart of the Beast.

The Beast collapsed back into a building that toppled over on it...

...and it lay impaled by the holy staff and crushed under the rubble.
