ALLE ZIVALJEVICH
“HIEROPHANT”

The origins of heaven and hell have been within us from the beginning of times. Somewhere between the two lies the truth, beautiful in its boldness and undeniable by its nature. I stare in amazement each time I create, not sure whether my art is my own to claim or simply a necessity by which my destiny is luring me into a place that is far more harmonious and real than my reason could possibly account for.
In those moments of tranquility and revelation I stand alone, paralyzed, horrified by the overwhelming grip of beauty on my soul for such burden is not meant for human beings. It belongs to something much greater than ourselves. In those moments of revelation I capture the truth about us and hope for a safe transition to our realm measured in earthly increments of time. Behind I leave my fears and inhibitions to face the wisdom of our fathers and of all our ancestors lined up before me in circles like the pointers of the watch. Sometimes I am not sure whether me being caught between where I am and where I belong is a blessing or a curse. To be neither here nor there, neither above nor below, but always caught at the moment at which the hand on the watch pauses between the increments, as it too is destined to repeat, in circles.
I reach far to claim what has always been ours, lost between those two places, the condemnation of hell and the bliss of heaven. I, like my art, am lingering in that void where myth alludes reality, where secrets extract the sacredness. Just as art is an enigma and should always stay an enigma, though everyone is aware of the secrets it reveals, the enigma itself stays unrevealed; Hierophant is the revelation of the un-revealable, the solution to the unsolvable, the manifestation of the sacredness that lies within us. The cry of silence between the increments.

MAX MICHAELS
“AWAKENING:
GROTESQUE SERIES 4”

This is part four in my artistic exploration of the self and my surroundings. It is a study, a thesis on the human condition and the condition of humanity in general. Though some of these images may seem disturbing to a few, they are no more disturbing than the grotesque way in which our race has evolved. We have grown dependent on phantom comforts and vacant satisfactions masked as necessities and abandoned our natural instincts and emotions. Humanity itself must reevaluate what is truly valuable. Not money, nor various metals and stones, stocks or bonds hold any true value. These temptations of consumption and greed are held in high regard by some. But we value the opposite. We prioritize the values of friendship, compassion, and support.
Regardless of what spiritual path you follow you must agree that the consumer things we surround ourselves with and place a value on will remain and rot long after we have been reintegrated into creation. So what can we take with us? Only our passions, our love and our consciousness. It is all that makes us what we are. So look beyond your given reality. Look beyond the answers that have been given to you. Look further than you ever have before. It is amazing what you can find.

NATHANAEL THORIN
“MALICIOUS ADORATION”

Nathanael Thorin is not a painter. He is a
trans-dimensional traveler and archaeologist. He scours other worlds for signs of intelligent life, and digs up lost images from the depths of the furthest possible distant plateaus.
Malicious Adoration was found in a blue dimension relatively close to the one you are currently standing in. The pieces were carefully excavated from a once grandiose temple that was pleasantly preserved deep under the Plasma Sea. The name Malicious Adoration is taken directly from the symbols deeply inscribed into the temples coral-marble facade.
The pieces seem to be the remnants of this other world’s belief systems. They ask a simple question. “If we threw all of our perceptions and religious icons up in the air, would they fall back down in the same place? Would they fall back down at all?” Thorin has few answers himself, any insight is appreciated.
Although some minor elements of these works may have changed in the trans-dimensional translations, their essence remains perfectly intact just as Thorin found them. They are complete with the inscriptions that accompanied each respective icon on the walls of the temple. He apologizes that all attempts to relocate the temple walls to your dimension were thwarted by energy constraints, but assures us that they most likely would have dissipated in our thin atmosphere.
