The Disinformation Company announces Russ Kick’s brand new book, The
Disinformation Book of Lists. Known as a first rate "information
archaeologist," author of the bestseller 50 Things You’re Not Supposed
to Know and editor of the popular anthologies You Are Being Lied To and
Everything You Know is Wrong, Russ is once again in the media spotlight.
Using his recourse as a concerned citizen by filing a Freedom of
Information Act request, he obtained Department of Defense photographs
of the coffins of soldiers killed in Iraq returning to the Dover Air
Force Base. By breaking through governmental censorship, Russ was able
to accomplish what the mainstream media could not, resulting in a flurry
of media features, including a New York Times front page article, and an
appearance on Good Morning America and other national TV and radio
programs. According to an April 26th feature on Russ in the Los Angeles
Times, "a new media player had been born." In the fall of 2003, Russ
garnered similar major media attention when he exposed the blacked-out
parts of an outside contractor’s report on employment diversity within
the Justice Department.
In his latest book, The Disinformation Book of Lists, Russ Kick offers
surprising, subversive and suppressed facts that will make your head
spin. Using the popular and enduring "book of lists" format, Russ delves
into the murkier aspects of politics, current events, business, history,
science, art and literature, sex, drugs, death, and more. Despite such
unusual subject matter, this book presents hard, substantiated facts
with full references.
Among the lists presented The Disinformation Book of Lists
* 39 Famous People Who Used Drugs, including Nobel Prize-winners,
classic writers, famous physicians, and actors
* 13 Innocent People Who Went to Prison
* The CIA’s 25 Tips for Interrogating a Prisoner
* 17 Questions You’ll be Asked When Applying to Become an FBI Agent
* 13 Nuclear Tests That Spread Radiation into Civilian Areas
* 9 Visitors Who Died at Disneyland
* 55 Corporations Reportedly Doing Business With Enemy Nations
* 12 Strange Drugs, like carbogen, arsenic, and salamander brandy
* 36 Botched Executions
* 63 Gay Animals
* 4 Unreleased Raunchy Songs
* 18 Biblical Atrocities
* 16 Movies Banned in the US
* 12 Things to do With Your Body After You’re Dead
* 44 Substances That Soup up Your Brain
* 32 Famous People in Threesomes, including Lord Byron, Lenin, John
Stuart Mill, Mary Shelley, and Picasso
In 1977 David Wallechinsky, Irving Wallace, and Amy Wallace published
The Book of Lists, causing an immediate sensation. Not only did it lead
to three direct sequels (in 1980, 1983, and 1993), it also created a new
genre. Soon shelves were lined with The First Original Unexpurgated
Authentic Canadian Book of Lists (1978), The Book of Sports Lists
(1979), and Meredith's Book of Bible Lists (1980), among many others.
Now, The Disinformation Book of Lists is set to go where no "book of
lists" compilation has gone before.
With his tireless efforts to release suppressed information, Russ works
to combat government secrecy. His best-selling anthology books You Are
Being Lied To and Everything You Know is Wrong have become instant
classics of investigative journalism and First Amendment activism. Mr.
Kick is a frequent contributor to the Village Voice and the Gauntlet, a
free speech magazine, in addition to running his popular website The
Memory Hole . His work has been discussed in the New York Times, Wired,
the Philadelphia Inquirer, on NPR and Al Jazeera, and he has appeared on
the Today Show and Good Morning America. He lives in Tucson, Arizona.

DIRTBAGS
“Dirtbags,” a new comedy available on DVD, ignores all social mores and
political correctness as it explores the deeds of the characters that
give the movie its title. Not for the easily offended, the movie traces
several characters as it tells stories of exploitation, invasion of
privacy, stealing a person’s girlfriend, manipulation, and other
subjects. There are no bubblegum endings in “Dirtbags.” The movie is
more like joke gum - onion flavored and full of blue ink. “Dirtbags” is
available through Music Video Distributors.

only his fierce intelligence, his years of combat experience and, above
all, his iron determination to avenge those wronged by society's
villains. The Punisher marks the directorial debut of Jonathan
Hensleigh, renowned screenwriter of genre blockbusters The Rock,
Armageddon and Die Hard: With a Vengeance. The film stars Tom Jane (61*,

announces second release
in new line of underground culture DVDs
Documentary Chronicles the Wonderfully Weird World of Artist Joe Coleman
REST IN PIECES: A PORTRAIT OF JOE COLEMAN is an entertaining and
informative film about Coleman, an artist whose stunning, chaotic and
colorful works of art provide biting social commentary.
* "A riveting examination of an artist who refuses to paint-or play-on
the
mainstream canvas... squirm-inducing." -The New York Post
* "His art is some of the best around these days." -Robert Crumb, artist
and star of 'Crumb'
Director Robert-Adrian Pejo presents a compelling study of "apocalyptic
visionary painter" Joe Coleman. Touching on subjects as diverse as
divorce, urban decay, and nuclear weapons, Coleman provides a fresh
critique of 21st century America. The film follows Joe through deserted
New York City streets, an autopsy room in Budapest and live
performances, in which he blows himself up with dynamite. Pejo pieces
together a portrait of his subject through interviews with Joe, his
therapist, ex-lovers, his publisher and the filmmaker Jim Jarmusch.
Coleman agreed to Pejo's project after he had seen 'Der Weg nach Eden',
a film by Pejo about autopsies in Budapest. Coleman had two requests
before he agreed to sign on for REST IN PIECES: that he could involve
his favorite psychobilly musician Hasil Adkins in the project and that
he be allowed to do his own autopsy in Budapest.
Now in his 40's, and just beginning to receive mainstream recognition,
Joe paints extremely detailed masterworks commissioned by patrons in the
international art world and celebrity admirers like Iggy Pop, Leonardo
DiCaprio and Johnny Depp. His tools include magnifying glasses and a
single-hair paintbrush to create visual intricacies that capture the
complexity of his imagination.
This special Disinformation DVD release of Rest In Pieces also contains
these exclusive extras:
* The Joe Coleman Opera-an intricate look at Joe's body of work
* Actress Asia Argento on Joe's influence on her work and life
* Outtakes from Joe performing the legendary autopsy in Budapest
* Interview with Joe's photographer wife Whitney Ward and scenes from
their bizarre wedding
Rest In Pieces: A Portrait of Joe Coleman
Directed by Robert Pejo
