After first collaborating last November when The Chainsmokers remixed A-Trak’s vocal opus “Push (feat. Andrew Wyatt),” the New York-based beatmakers have now reversed production roles with A-Trak reworking The Chainsmokers’ “Let You Go (feat. Great Good Fine Ok).”

Highlighting indie group Great Good Fine Ok’s airy lyrics, A-Trak transforms the original’s light electro-pop feel by mixing in a distorted, bass-driven drop and a funky synth breakdown atop an echo of the melodic chorus.

Since catapulting to fame with their ubiquitous sensation “#SELFIE” last year, The Chainsmokers quickly became a household name amongst dance fans the world over. Their breakout release was officially certified platinum by the RIAA for digital sales in excess of one million, and the song also soared to #1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart within merely five weeks. The ‘MTV Artists to Watch’ followed “#SELFIE” with their equally social media-salient release “Kanye feat. sirenXX” which has accrued more than six million views on its official music video. Tapped for remixes by everybody from Phoenix, Ellie Goulding and The Wanted, to The Killers and Icona Pop, their reworks continually shoot to #1 on the HypeM with a total of 35 taking the chart’s top spot. Fans can catch the pair on their three-month global tour spanning the U.S., Indonesia, Portugal and Croatia.

Canadian export A-Trak is one of the few dance music legends that truly needs no introduction. The celebrated Fool’s Gold imprint founder has spent the last two decades at the forefront of the industry’s cross-pollination between hip-hop and electronic music. After being the youngest Canadian to win the DMC World DJ Championship at age 15, the venerable turntablist went on to become the first to win all three major DJ competition titles (DMC, ITF and Vestax).  His resume spans the genre gamut with collaborations alongside superstars like Kanye, Lupe Fiasco, Kid Sister, MSTRKRFT and Boys Noize. Captivating the masses while still retaining his underground street cred, the iconic musician has showcased his hip-hop-driven dance hybrid across the world at festival headlining sets and packed out warehouse raves alike.
