Andrew St. James’ shares the video for “Despite All Good Intentions” and announces a string of California shows in June. The nineteen year-old San Francisco native continues his homage to the Bay Area, with stunning views of the Northern Californian coast for the “Despite All Good Intentions” video, which premiered on Culture Collide, this week.
Directed by Austin Lottimer as part of the Olympus Anywhere Classroom Series, “Despite All Good Intentions” is the latest track off the acclaimed The Shakes LP (Island Jar/Fortune) and has Culture Collide proclaiming the “track bobs along effortlessly, sweetened by bright chimes and darkened by James’ impassioned lyrics.”
Called “Dylan-esque” by Entertainment Weekly, St. James’ melds thoughtful lyricism with skillful guitar work, all while imbuing his sound with a bold freshness that has Paste noting he’s, “a future force to be reckoned with.”
St. James’ is prepping for a mini California tour in early June, with stops in Los Angeles, Santa Cruz and a hometown show in San Francisco, before playing Live 105 FM’s BFD Festival with Modest Mouse, Cold War Kids and The Orwells.
