Keys N Krates shares new music video feat. Katy B

Thomas Bellflower July 29, 2015
On the heels of a 2015 that has already seen them make their Coachella, Tomorrowland, and EDC Las Vegas debuts, as well as the release of their new single “Save Me” with acclaimed UK vocalist Katy B, Keys N Krates are back to share that song’s music video. The Adam Beck and Paul Johnston-directed visual presents  an absurdist take on romance and materialism that contrasts starkly with the romantic tropes presented in Montreal producer CFCF’s “Exercise #3 (Building)” video (also directed by Beck and Johnston). Under a motif of forbidden love, the video profiles the exaggerated inanimate relationship as it evolves from suppression to unabashed celebration.
The video’s release comes in advance of a lengthy run of Keys N Krates live dates that includes stops on the Mad Decent Block Party, Electric Zoo Bumbershoot, Nocturnal Wonderland and more. Keys N Krates’ forthcoming touring scheduling also includes the group’s very own Birthday Party, taking place at Toronto’s Sunnyside Pavilion on August 9th, which will see them performing alongside Just Blaze, Flat White, Ganz, Tennyson, Ouici, and Harrison.
Check out the video for “Save Me,” all Keys N Krates tour dates, the trailer for their Birthday Party and what the press is saying about “Save Me” below now.

About Keys N Krates:
Known for their hallmark blend of hip-hop infused electronic beats, Keys N Krates have proven to be one of dance music’s most unconventional juggernauts. The trio, comprised of a drummer, turntablist and synthesizer/keyboardist, has spent the last seven years bulldozing their way past DJ-driven comfort zones and onto global dance floors as paragons of shape-shifting productions.
Keys N Krates catapulted to fame after their 2013 hit “Dum Dee Dum” sold 200K downloads and its official music video racked up 5 million YouTube views. The three-piece steamrolled through 2014 with a headlining national tour and Dim Mak’s release of their six-track Every Nite EP, which peaked at #2 on iTunes’ Top Electronic Albums chart last September. The trio subsequently released Every Nite (The Remixes) last December, featuring an eclectic selection of reworks from Machinedrum, Darq E Freaker, Chris Lorenzo, Taiki Nulight and R3II.
The festival favorites have taken center stage at events such as Lollapalooza, EDC Vegas, Electric Zoo, Ultra Music Festival, Sonar Festival and Bestival, to name a few. This year, they made their debuts at Coachella and Hangout and still have performances at Tomorrowland, Electric Zoo, Bumbershoot ahead of them, as well as the release of their fifth EP.
