International superstars Major Lazer are debuting a new video for “Powerful” featuring Ellie Goulding and Tarrus Riley, from their critically acclaimed new album Peace is the Mission, today. Watch and share the video, starring Goulding and Riley, here.

“Powerful was a step forward for us with a classic sound,” Major Lazer creative force Diplo says of the track. “We thought of doo-wop, The Ronettes and The Flamingos all the way to Bob Marley with Lee Perry. Something big and moody and spooky but still about the essence of love  and how it feels when it’s powerful. Came by pieces; first Tarrus, then Ellie and then mixing it all together to find something new we never created or heard before—a perfect, heartfelt, melancholic, spooky love song.”

Major Lazer’s global smash hit “Lean On,” with DJ Snake featuring , is currently #9 atTop 40 radio, the first independent release to reach the top 10 in more than two years, and #9 on the Billboard Hot 100. Additionally, Jack Ü’s “Where Are Ü Now” with Justin Bieber is currently #10 at Top 40—marking two top 10 records for Diplo.

Major Lazer recently released a collection of official remixes of “Lean On,” with new versions of the track from Dillon Francis & JAUZ, CRNKN, Ephwurd & ETC!ETC!, Fono, Malaa and Moska. Get the new EP, out now,  here.

Peace Is The Mission is out now, having reached #1 on the Electronic/Dance Album chart and debuted on the Billboard Top 200 chart at #12, marking the group’s highest chart position to date. “Lean On” is certified triple Platinum in Australia, double Platinum in Denmark, Norway and Sweden; Platinum in the U.K., Canada and the Netherlands and Gold in the U.S., Finland, Italy and Spain.

“Lean On” is currently #1 globally on Spotify for the eighth week in a row, the first-ever independent release to reach the chart’s top spot. The new release is the first of several albums to come from Major Lazer over the next year.Peace Is The Mission features contributions from Ellie Goulding, 2 Chainz, Pusha T, Travi$ Scott, Wild Belle and more in addition to a new remix of Major Lazer’s contribution to theHunger Games: Mockingjay Pt. 1 soundtrack, “All My Love” with Ariana Grande, featuring Michael Montano.

Major Lazer is the dancehall-inspired project comprised of Diplo, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire fronted by fictional Jamaican ex-commando, Major Lazer. Peace Is The Mission follows the group’s previous two LPs, Guns Don’t Kill People…Lazers Do and Free The Universe, both released to widespread critical acclaim. Founded in 2008 by Diplo and U.K. producer Switch, the group has toured worldwide and collaborated with Pharrell Williams, Bruno Mars and Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend along with dancehall legends like Busy Signal, Vybz Kartel and Elephant Man.

Diplo, a.k.a.
