BrooklynVegan Premieres “The Better Option”

PJ Bond released a stream of the track “The Better Option” from his upcoming sophomore LP  Where Were You? yesterday via BrooklynVeganWhere Were You drops May 4, 2015 on Black Numbers in the US and Xtra Mile Recordings worldwide and pre-orders are available now.

“The Better Option” shows Bond at his very best, melding Americana, a roaring 70s guitar line and a traveling troubadour style to create a nearly perfect song that borders on power pop.  He has been compared to Wilco, early My Morning Jacket and Heartbreaker-era Ryan Adams, and his songs are imbued with lyrics that carry the same sort of sweetly melancholic sentiments as his influences.

Bond released his debut full-length You Didn’t Know I Was Alphabetical on Black Numbers in 2009, garnering critical acclaim from places such as Exclaim!, CMJ and My Old Kentucky Blog.  He subsequently spent the next several years touring nonstop, moving himself around the world to tour and play shows for audiences across the globe.  Though he recently settled in Philadelphia, Bond has no plans of putting down roots yet, planning on an exhausting touring schedule throughout the rest of 2015 which begins in Europe and eventually sees him crossing the US.  More specific tour details will be announced in the coming months.
