(Living Under No Authority)

Drop “Memory Lane” on i-D

Mixtape Out This Month

Fresh faced four piece THE AGE OF L.U.N.A are the voice of the next generation and Live. Under. No. Authority their moto. It’s also the title of their debut mixtape that the band are readying to drop at the end of July; ‘MEMORY LANE’ is the first single.

The track has already been getting support from DJ SEMTEX [ BBC RADIO 1 / 1 XTRA] who gave the group ones to watch for 2015 off the back. The guys also picked up some serious online support with CLASH MAGAZINE, NOISEY, RWD, COMPLEX MAGAZINE and others backing them alongside tastemakers MISTA JAM [BBC RADIO 1] and HUW STEPHENS [BBC RADIO 1].

Their eclectic infusion of collective influences plays a massive part in the groups sound and approach. Memory Lane is just a taster of what this young quartet have to offer. Rappers BUTCH ARKAS and KYOTE NOIR find themselves in reflective mood tracing their steps over paths trodden and roads crossed amongst a slow NK – OK produced head nodder as DANIELLA layers a hypnotic honey laced hook that will have you zoning out.

The movement and mixtape to follow, titled Live Under No Authority, will be the first step on the groups still very early path. Kyote explains the bands name and title choice …. “We wanted to create something that would move the generation,” he adds, “So we’re the Age Of Living Under No Authority.”

Butch continues on the groups ambitions ….”We d like to move commercial music from where it is now,” he states. “We want people to love that old school, musical vibe…..We want to bring that back to commercial music and move everyone.” Words beyond the bands very tender average age of just 18 – producer NK – OK is just 16 ! !

We’re entering The Age of L.U.N.A
