Self-titled EP Catapulted Into The Top 10 On The The iTunes Pop Chart
Selected For Spotify’s New Music Tuesday Playlist

The Heydaze EP on Soundcloud

“Dumb,” the first official single from New York modern pop band THE HEYDAZE is quickly becoming a summer sensation after it premiered on SiriusXM’s Hits 1 channel.  The song is a follow up to the bands 2014 hit “Adderall,” which peaked at 1 on Hype Machine and has over a million plays.

“Dumb” was handpicked by Kid Kelly, Vice President of Music Programming at SiriusXM, who was recently named one of America’s Top Ten Most Powerful Programmers byBillboard Magazine and credited for launching the careers of platinum artists such as One Direction and Tove Lo.  “Dumb” by THE HEYDAZE is an infectious tune that emotes summer-fun,” exclaimed Kelly.  “It’ll likely make anyone having a bad day feel much better!”

Immediately following the SiriusXM support, the bands self-titled EP immediately climbed into the Top Ten list on the iTunes Pop Chart and was selected for Spotify’s coveted New Music Tuesday playlist.

THE HEYDAZE are a rock infused, modern pop band known for tightly produced, guitar-centric songs, which have mass appeal. The band is Jesse Fink (vocals, guitar), Andrew Spelman (guitar) and Alexander Glantz (bass) who met while studying at UPENN with Tyler Matte, (drums) a Duke University graduate joining them shortly after.

“Dumb” showcases the quartet’s ability to craft catchy melodies and their talent for playful lyrics with the bonus of them all being terrific players as well.  Lead singer Jesse Fink describes the inspiration for writing the track saying, “The song is about those mornings where you wake up, and things just aren’t clicking. We’ve all had those days and done dumb things as a result.  We hope people can relate to the sentiment that even smart people do dumb things.”

Praised by Idolator for their “…slick pop production with irresistible guitar licks” THE HEYDAZE spent the better part of 2014 writing, recording and evolving as a band refining a more mature sound on the new tracks.  “The four songs on our EP each have different characteristics,” explains bassist Alexander Glantz.  “We set out to capture the diversity of each idea and show the full range of our musicality.”

THE HEYDAZE, who have toured the country as a headlining act and with artists like Jesse McCartney and Timeflies, are playing select dates this summer with a full tour being announced soon.
