‘Uberjak’d & Mates EP’ Out Now On Dim Mak + World Tour With New World Sound US Dates

Thomas Bellflower April 8, 2015
As Australian electronic music continues to permeate dance floors the world over, Dim Mak is working to bring Melbourne Bounce’s ubiquitous rise stateside through a unique bundling of releases and performances from artists Uberjak’d and New World Sound.

Yesterday, the label unveiled young gun Uberjak’d’s four-track Uberjak’d & Mates EP featuring collaborations alongside fellow producers Reece Low, Danny David, Ruby & Tony and Huarache Bass. Brother duo New World Sound will soon follow suit in showcasing the best of Melbourne Bounce’s signature elastic bass lines, up-tempo electro synths and frenzied club-ready breakdowns with their forthcoming Bounce That EP set to release on April 21, also on Dim Mak.

As part of Dim Mak’s new synergistic touring platform, both outfits will join forces later this month as Dim Mak presents the ‘New World Sound vs Uberjak’d – Bounce Those Mates Tour’ that’ll flit through North America with stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Orlando, Scottsdale and Seattle to name a few. The head-to-head US run will see individual sets from Uberjak’d and New World Sound as well as back-to-back performances at the ten domestic concerts.

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 10 at dimmakevents.com.   “We’re stoked to have two of Australia’s biggest acts collaborating on Dim Mak,” label founder Steve Aoki says. “For us it’s all about taking a collective approach in spreading each others’ music to larger crowds and expanding our mutual fan bases as we push forward with the Melbourne Bounce movement.”

Uberjak’d’s US performances are part of the Dim Mak-presented ‘Uberjak’d & Mates’ tour that kicked off in March and will span four continents over five months featuring support from Reece Low, Savage, Krunk, Peep This and JaySounds. Uberjak’d’s 2015 tour follows a year spent dominating decks across the globe, from performing on Dim Mak’s Tomorrowland stage and wrapping his third US tour to joining Steve Aoki in Europe on some of his Turn It Up shows as well as Aoki’s House at Pacha Ibiza. Since joining the Dim Mak family with his Uberjak’d & Friends EP last May, the young beat maker released his Turn Up The Club EP last September which peaked at #1 on Beatport’s Electro House chart. Between curating the #1 Australian dance compilation Ministry of Sound The Annual 2014 and continuing his #1 Australian DJ reign of the iTunes Top Dance Podcast Chart with “The Ubercast,” Uberjak’d is quickly becoming an international household name as he brings Melbourne Bounce to dance music’s forefront.

New World Sound are currently on a 21 date North American & European ‘Bounce That’ tour in support of their EP. The duo returns to America after their 24 date tour in 2014 including appearances at TomorrowWorld, Electric Zoo, Pacha NY, Drais Vegas and Labor Of Love. New World Sound infiltrated the dance music scene with the release of their omnipresent hit “Flute” which received over 48 million views on YouTube. The brothers quickly followed with their Beatport #1 release “The Buzz” on Doorn Records, as well as their two-part Pineapple + Spoon EP released with Big Beat. This year New World Sound will announce a further world tour, as well as unexpected productions and collaborations.
