1. The new album "Conviction" seems like Aiden has gone in a different direction since releasing "Our Gangs Dark Oath" and "Nightmare Anatomy", what's with the new sound?
"To be honest. I'm just bored doing the old shit. I wanted to create something that's fresh and exciting."
2.What has been some of the new influences that have taken Aiden's music in a different direction?
"It's been a culmination of a lot of things, not just other music. I've been reading lots of books and watching tons of films. Writing this new record I was really not trying to listen to any current music so I wouldn't be influenced by what's going on here in the now."
3. Do you all as a band feel like the band is moving away more from the goth rock type of music that Aiden started with to emo rock? Why or why not?
"Definitely not. We will never be an emo band."
4. Since seeing you all on your tour with 30 Seconds to Mars back in 2006 and then again at Warp Tour that year, Aiden has grown up and taken "the world by storm", what do you all feel that the biggest achievement in your success has been thus far?
"I feel like the whole experience has been the biggest. I have gotten to travel some places I never dreamed of going and play with some of my heroes. It's all been really fucking amazing."
5. Aiden has definitely done some touring as of lately, what do you all feel are the best aspects of touring? Also, of course what have been some of the negative aspects of touring so much?
"The hour that I get to stand on stage makes the other 23 hours of the day worth it. It's hard traveling and eating most of your dinners at gas stations but in the end it's all worth it."
6. How would the band "Aiden" define success in today's society?
"I feel like we have been really successful. For a punk band in seattle with virtually no experience in the music industry to get the opportunity to travel the world and play music for a living is a dream come true. There are a million kids out there with a guitar and a voice who would really like to do this, but will never get to. I feel really lucky and amazed at how my life is turning out."
7. I know doing meet-and-greets are important to Aiden, what has been some of the most rememorable moments of doing these meet-and-greets?
"I really feel like they all have been just as important. Our fans are the reason we are able to do the things we do. It's because we are some great band reinventing the wheel of music. It's because the people who listen to us, support us."
8. Lastly, what your fans expect more of in the coming year?
"Touring touring touring. See you all out on the road."
